CSC CC are a team that compete in the Chesterfield and District Midweek Cricket League. The club has been around for a number of years playing under various names and are one of the longer standing teams in the league.
The club started out when the league was a works league and played as Royal Mail CC before becoming CSC CC playing their home games at Duckmanton Lodge, Calow. A few years ago as the works sides started to fold the league started to admit local cricket clubs and the league started to grow again. At this point a link began to establish between the club and Clay Cross CC which has led to the team being made up predominantly of Clay Cross CC players and recently moved to play at Sharley Park, Clay Cross.
The club has been successful over the years winning numerous league titles and cup competitions and last year finished second in the top division. One of the most successful periods was the 2003 to 2005 period when the club won the third and second divisions going unbeaten in the league for two seasons and then holding their own in the top division whilst winning the mini cup. In 2007 the success continued as they won the Division One title and narrowly missed out on the double losing to Holmesfield in the Cup Final at Calow.
This season will see a fourth season in the top division and hopefully looking for more success.
